My name is Emma Clement Corless. I'm in second grade. I love to read...and read...and read...and read. Sometimes I get distracted and forget to do things that I need to do because I'm reading. I read in the bathroom, the bedroom, going up and down the stairs, in the car, and anywhere else I can get a book. I remind my parents of themselves when they were young, but I'm not as good as them at sneaking in reading after my lights are supposed to be off. This year, I read The Hobbit and the Chronicles of Narnia. I like playing, too. Olivia and I play Groovy Girls for hours and hours and we let Juliet play too. I have two American Girl dolls - Josefina and Felicity - and Mommy took me to American Girl Palace last summer. I like playing Barbies, too, but Juliet sometimes accidentally pulls their legs off. I like going to school, particularly when I get to read. I played softball in the Spring and soccer in the Fall. Mommy and Daddy seem to think it's important that I do things other than reading all the time. I'm a fast runner. I love to draw. I take a pottery class and love to give away my creations.
